My Cousin Becky is hosting another Within One Week. Mine is going to be a little unusual. We are going on our annual week long Sturgeon fishing trip with my parents. Last year the fishing was aweful, the year before I was 2 months pregnant and the fishing was great (we caught 30+) but I had to hop into Uncle Dave's boat back to shore because of my motion/morning sickness. The year before I was pregnant, Jeramy caught a 7 foot Sturgeon which of course was too big to keep. So I am hoping that we all do well. It is really fun because sometimes our boat, Uncle Dan's boat, Uncle Dave's boat, and Andy's boat are all anchored up around each other and cheering each other on. These picture were from 5 or 6 years ago on one of our first trips.
But my main goal is to succesfully unpack from our trip upon our return. I am HORRIBLE at unpacking once back from vacation, especially a week long one. So my goal is to have everything cleaned and put away when we get home!

Within One Week I Will.....

My Cousin Becky is hosting another Within One Week. For my project this time I am going to clean the garage and have a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday. Then after that I will clean the house to get it ready for Uncle Sean. Here are some before pictures, hopefully I will post the clean garage because as it is now there are bins, boxes, clothes, hunting and fishing stuff everywhere!! So go to her site and encourage everyone participating!

I added this picture of Sage and her Daddy getting ready for him to give her a bath that I thought was cute!!

W.O.W Update

So my challenge for the week from my cousin Becky was to get 2 rooms cleaned, before we went to Ocean Shores. Sage's bedroom had boxes and boxes of clothes that don't fit her anymore or yet so I decide to reagrange each drawer according to size. In doing so I actually labeled the outside of each drawer so that peole could see where the right sizes and items went. So far this has helped alot. You can go here to see the pictures of before. But right when I was done with that Andrea brought Heidi's kids clothes in 2 HUGE boxes. We are talking gap, gymboree, ralph lauren, etc. So very expensive and I am extreemely grtaeful. I even got all of these sorted and put away.
The other was to clean out our guest room that had become a catch all. I even washed down the bedding, so now it is ready for guests!
It feels good to have these projects done...I even have all of our vacationing clothes washed and put away (which amounted about 8 loads). I also washed and vacummed the beach out of my car!

Within One Week (actually 3 days)

My cousin Becky is hosting another Within one Week, but my goal this year is to have it done by the weekend. I have a list of goals each day that I want to achieve, but the 2 top priorities are to clean out Sage's bedroom and the guest room. Since Sage doesn't use her room much (except I am praying today she will take a nap in it, it is our first try) it has become a stoage unit. I emptied out all of the clothes that don't fit her into boxes and put the new stuff that people have given us in the drawers. What was left behind were tubs and boxes of clothing, if you can believe all of those tubs are filled with clothes that don't fit and I am getting ready to garage sale. I even sorted them by brand for easy pricing when we do decied to do the garage sale.
The second goal is to clean out the guest bedroom and get rid of the junk that we don't need anymore and put in the garage sale pile. We just got a smaller captains bed in there with more drawer space, but we also have one of those things you hang upside down on to relieve tension in your back so it doesn't leave much space, plus all of my craft stuff is in this room also, so a quick tidy in here is one of my goals as well. Wish me luck! I will post after pictures. Be sure to visit her site and encourage all of the other people who are participating. Last year I got a bunch of encouragement to help me finish organizing her closet and drawers, and I am SO thankful for it!

Sage's 8 Month Pictures

Our little girl is 8 months (almost 9 months, sorry for the late blog). She weighs in at a whopping 14 pounds a mere 5 pounds more than Katy's newborn baby. She is doing so many new things, I think that everyday I call Jeramy and said she does something new like rolling all over the place, feeding herself, doing the Indian call all the time (we use to pat our hands over her mouth and she would babble, now if you do it she does too) and she is saying Mom! I am currently decorating her room in a hawiian theme, because that was the music I had playing when she was born at the hospital, and she LOVES Hawaiian music and can you blame her becauses it is so relaxing. I have a CD of this Hawaiian group I went to college with Little Big Man that plays in her room...it is turning out reallly cute, lots of hibiscus flowers, surfboards as ceiling fan, hibiscus and pineapple curtains with a bamboo window shade and grass vallance, and I used the Hawiian pictures I took of her a while ago to make a Pretty Wahine big collage with palm trees and block letters of her name with hibiscus decals. She has a bamboo wind chime in her room above the hawiian print rocking chair that she loves to listen to and me too. All I have to do is paint one her walls hot pink, and have a beach scene painted or wallpapered on the the big wall...I have a cute frog in flip flops made out of wood that says To the Beach and is pointing to the wall and above that is a surf shack and a little gir face made out of a coconut. I just need to add some turtles (her crib set is underwater stuff). Everything is not all pink so there is a variety of Hawaiian themed print colors. I LOVE how it is turning out and surprisingly I have found alot of stuff at garage sales or on clearance, she even has a cute little lamp with a flip flop pull cord. Got any other ideas?

While I was garage saleing I also bought from a teacher, one of those evolution of a fish so you can see them grow from an egg to fish for her first science fair project (Already thinking ahead). Then we are going to put a bunch of fishing pictures of Jeramy and the different types of fish and details blah blah blah. I know putting the cart in front of the horse but you can never be too prepared...and naturally it is going to be about fish (Jeramy's request) as this is now her 3rd picture with a fishing pole. (Katy I think you are right, she probably is going to be the most professionally photographed baby lol)

Hope all of you are doing good! All of our babies are here!!!! Annika Grace (Joey and Michaela), Cameron Tyler (Scott and Heather), Elijah Scott (Katy and Mike), and Issac Bain (David and Rachel). And soon we will be having TWO more at the SAME time, Emily and Chad's twins coming around Sage's first birthday. Whoopee!!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately, but we have been so BUSY! First was the camping trip (see pictures below), then there was the baby shower (see pictures below). This last weekend we spent time with my cousin Casey who lives in Hawaii and hasn't been home in like 3 years, our other cousins Caitlin and Andy came down too. It was so great to see Casey I miss him so much. Oh and by the way they all have fake teeth in, and that is Ashley's boyfriend Matt the newest member of the family. Of course we had to dress Sage in her camo outfit since daddy, Andy and his girlfriend Carol, and Uncle Dave were shooting their bows getting ready for hunting season. Then she got tuckered out and decided she wanted to sit on the couch and watch baseball with Uncle Dave.

I also had my 10 year high school reunion, so we raced over to that to visit old friends. Most of them I see all the time, but it was great to see the others that I don't. There are some cute pictures of my friend Lindsey's daughter Jos and Sage playing together. Jos kept trying to take Sage's binky that was attached to her clothes, it was hillarious.

Then we raced down to Hemp Fest and of course Sand in the City which I never miss. It was pouring down rain so we put Sage in her covered carrier (see picture) and went down to congratulate Hannah on a job well done. She does such an awesome job planning such a massive event! Hannah and I worked together when I was at the museum and she was briefly engaged to my cousin Damien, but it is a good thing it didn't work out because she has herself a great boyfriend now (but I still love Damien don't get me wrong), Hannah's dad is also Sage's Dr.

So exhausted as we were we came home to find 4 cars in our driveway. Both of our parents had come and completely cleaned out the garage AND I CAN PARK IN THERE NOW! and our Mom's cleaned out all of the bed rooms and bathrooms and cleaned and hung up all of our laundry. We even found one of Jeramy's old flannel shirts so we dressed Sage up in it with her pink cowgirl hat. Then I let her eat one of those biter biscuit things, and what a mess, we gave her a bath in her duck outside and of course Lami had to supervise. What a great way to end the weekend!
Oh and by the way I am experimenting with cooking, and so far have made new dishes of Jambalia, stuffed Mannicotti, and Pot Roast (with cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix), SO if you have any easy recipies PLEASE send them my way!!

WOW Update

Has anyone noticed that WOW upside down is MOM? That is because we rock!! I got everything done on my list and then some! I even sent out more notes and pictures than I thought. We added one more thing to our list that took up more time than I thought, packing for our trip to Seaside to go Sturgeon fishing. I never really realized how much stuff Sage needs. I thought I would pack everything but the kitchen sink, but I really kept it minimal, not even a stroller, which I am very proud of. Our only other vacation was to Emily's and I knew if I forgot it Emily would have it, so this time I have really tried to think it through. I even put up the DVD player in the car so she can watch her videos.

Sorry if I didn't comment on your blog carnivals, but I am so proud of all you MOM's and your WOW accomplishments! Love you guys! I will post pictures when we get back!!

WOW Update

My number 5 (Encourage my husband to put together patio furniture) turned into help put it and your mom and dad's together. So this is how we spent most of our weekend, but I love it! I decorated it and we put in lighting, and I love my new swing, it even folds into a bed.
Since Sage is 5 months now we tried her on some DHA rice cereal. I thought we might get it back up at one point, and she wasn't quite sure at first, but then she ended up liking it! Mom has to get a little better with the spoon though!
And last but not least, Jeramy bought Sage her first motorcycle (even though I think it was more of a present for him until she can ride it) We will put some training wheels on this in a few years and she will be ready to go. For now it is Dad's new drift boat shuttle!

Within One Week I Will.....

WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVORITE?

My Cousin Becky is hosting another blog carnival and since what I am going to try and do is kind of boring (because of a hectic week) I decided to post pictures of Sage in some of her fun hats. I can never find cute hats in the stores, but whenever I go to the second hand baby store here I always find them (and they are only a couple of bucks too which is a bonus). I love hats (I am so glad I had a girl) so if anyone knows where they have cute ones let me know!
My goal for the week is pretty boring but it is something that has been piling up on me:
Bottom of the To Do List Stuff : To catch up on my paperwork and correspondense (and a couple errands I keep putting off).
1. Send in Jr's union paperwork
2. Send in insurance forms
3. Send cards to RC, JM, Gpa
4. Replace scrapbook that Lami ate
5. Encourage my husband to put together our new deck swing and lounge area
6. Pay bills
Hopefully I will post a picture of the new deck stuff we got (thanks mom and dad) because I doubt you'd want to see a pile of papers!!
