Flock of Seagulls Hair

ROCK ON!!!

I swear she has her dad's muppet hair. She seriously looks like she has a tupey on. So today I tried to see if I could put piggys in and it worked kind of. The best part was when we took them out and she had the flock of seagulls hair. One of the pictures she looks like she is totally rocking out. People were starting to say she looked like me, now people say she looks like Jeramy because of the hair.

Busy Busy Busy!!!

Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately, but we have been so BUSY! First was the camping trip (see pictures below), then there was the baby shower (see pictures below). This last weekend we spent time with my cousin Casey who lives in Hawaii and hasn't been home in like 3 years, our other cousins Caitlin and Andy came down too. It was so great to see Casey I miss him so much. Oh and by the way they all have fake teeth in, and that is Ashley's boyfriend Matt the newest member of the family. Of course we had to dress Sage in her camo outfit since daddy, Andy and his girlfriend Carol, and Uncle Dave were shooting their bows getting ready for hunting season. Then she got tuckered out and decided she wanted to sit on the couch and watch baseball with Uncle Dave.

I also had my 10 year high school reunion, so we raced over to that to visit old friends. Most of them I see all the time, but it was great to see the others that I don't. There are some cute pictures of my friend Lindsey's daughter Jos and Sage playing together. Jos kept trying to take Sage's binky that was attached to her clothes, it was hillarious.

Then we raced down to Hemp Fest and of course Sand in the City which I never miss. It was pouring down rain so we put Sage in her covered carrier (see picture) and went down to congratulate Hannah on a job well done. She does such an awesome job planning such a massive event! Hannah and I worked together when I was at the museum and she was briefly engaged to my cousin Damien, but it is a good thing it didn't work out because she has herself a great boyfriend now (but I still love Damien don't get me wrong), Hannah's dad is also Sage's Dr.

So exhausted as we were we came home to find 4 cars in our driveway. Both of our parents had come and completely cleaned out the garage AND I CAN PARK IN THERE NOW! and our Mom's cleaned out all of the bed rooms and bathrooms and cleaned and hung up all of our laundry. We even found one of Jeramy's old flannel shirts so we dressed Sage up in it with her pink cowgirl hat. Then I let her eat one of those biter biscuit things, and what a mess, we gave her a bath in her duck outside and of course Lami had to supervise. What a great way to end the weekend!
Oh and by the way I am experimenting with cooking, and so far have made new dishes of Jambalia, stuffed Mannicotti, and Pot Roast (with cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix), SO if you have any easy recipies PLEASE send them my way!!

Baby Shower

This weekend I rode over with my parents to our family's winery in Prosser for my cousin's Rachel and Katy's baby shower. Each are due next month with baby number 4 and their oldest are both girls followed by two boys, so we are all hoping they will be girls (as you can see on the cake). I made Katy a diaper cake which I was very proud of! Most of my family, like us, choose to be surprised on the sex of the baby. We had to come up with names with what ever letter cube melted in our ice cube, I got H so I suggested Hayes for a boy and Hennessey and Henley (Andrea's suggestion) for a girl. So many people ask me how we did it and that there was no way they could have waited because they wanted to be prepared. I don't really understand how you can't prepare if you don't know the sex, we had everything and more and we didn't know what we were having, and so buy nutral colors, and all of the sudden once it was a girl we got a huge flood of pink clothes. I've known so many people who were hoping for a boy and found out it was a girl and then were dissappointed. There is NO way you will be dissappointed when the baby comes out. Plus, it is the one thing that the Dad's get to do, go out into the waiting room and say "It's a Girl" which I know was a very proud moment for Jeramy. I was there when Chad walked out with Avery in her little pink hat and it was a very magical moment. And it is truly the only surprise you will get in your life. For some reason, Jeramy and I had decided that we were having a boy, don't ask us why, but were so excited when she came out and was a girl, but I did make him double check.
Also, my cousin Becky had her miracle baby boy Benjamin on Thursday, so we are all very excited about that. It is actually amazing that I was pregnant by myself and that none of my other cousin's were pregnant. I don't think my cousin Katy has ever been pregnant by herself. Before Becky had her baby 4 of my cousins are pregnant.
Sage had so much fun with all of her cousins. She fell in love with Kier's frisbee from McDonalds so my dad bought it off of him for a dollar and it is her favorite toy.
On the way home we stopped in Troutdale and went outlet shopping (for Sage of course) and when we got home she played in her duck tub, and fell asleep all cuddled up with her Daddy (who missed her SO much) after an exhausting but fun trip. I wish we could have spent more time with everyone though.

More Camping Pictures

Brian and Malea Sara and Chris

Jessica, Kerry, Mia and Sage, Malea, Sara and Madyson
Here are some more pictures from our recent camping trip. I also included a picture of our girls night dinner on Thursday. These are my best friends and we all went to highschool together. We get together for girls night which has now turned into girls/boys/kids night and we alternate houses, usually a couple times a month. We use to do it once a week. It is great to have such a solid group of friends. Kerry and I have been friends since 4th grade (so almost 20 years...wow) Malea and I traveled to the Bahamas and Spain together. I am so lucky to have such great friends!! We have a blast together!

Sage's First Camping Trip

We took Sage on her first camping trip over the weekend to our favorite place, The Kalama River. We went with some of my best friends since high school, Malea and her husband Brian, Sara and her husband Chris and daughter Madyson. It was Madyson's first camping trip too and she had so much fun. Chris is just back from Iraq, so Jeramy took the boys fishing while we stayed back and relaxed and shopped. This camp ground is perfect for Sara and I because there is a store, resturant, and running bathrooms, plus is close to shopping! Sage was so good, she didn't cry one time while we were out there and slept inbetween us on our air mattress. We stayed inside the mosqito net thing at night. It was perfect weather (although it did rain for a little bit) because it wasn't too hot or too cold. We had such a good time with our friends, we can't wait to do it again! (The last picture is of Sage sucking her thumb through her hood, she kept pulling her hood over her face all weekend, and we made Madyson a harness with Sage's life jacket) Good Times...can't wait for our 10 year reunion family day on Saturday next weekend.

Sage's 7 Month Pictures

I can't believe how fast it goes! Sage is already 7 months old. She had a lot of "first's" this month. Her first time swimming (see pictures below) and her first pony tail. She also started teething a bit, so our once baby who NEVER cried is getting a little bit fussy, but I don't blaim her it hurts! She can sit up by herself and she is also getting quite the personality, as you can see in some of the faces she makes in the pictures below. I would guess she weighs about 13 pounds, and she is in size 2 diapers...can you believe it? Our little peanut is growing up fast!
