Here are a couple more pictures from our trip. I also included a picture of Jeramy's new tattoo. He got my name in Korean on his wedding ring finger, now that is love! He already has my name branded down his arm, but at least now this way he can't lose his wedding ring. He also got a cutplug done on his arm too. And I found this picture of me and my grandma so I put it into Sage's scrapbook to show her who she is named after....this is my favorite picture of her, I miss her a whole bunch!

Hawaii Part 1, More to Come!

Sage passed out after a long day!

Sorry it has taken me so long to do a blog, we have been kind of busy. Right after our Hawaii trip we have all of Jeramy's family here. We had a blast in Hawaii. Jeramy who was a little bahhumbug at first loved it and said he would go back. His favorite part was the snorkling, and him and my cousin Eugene rented mopeds, we went to a luau, and he went fishing twice in one day. Sage did not like the beach at first which was surprising, but after a while she figured out the sand and made a mess. Thank god for my parents because Jeramy and I were able to swim way out into the ocean, the funny part was trying to get back...I kept saying, "Am I moving" Unfotunately Sage did not like the Luau either, but it started really late and she never assimilated to Hawaii time. It was hard organizing 16 people, but I just woke up early and laid in the sun while everyone was still sleeping and got a great tan, and that is all I wanted. Sage got to go to the aquarium with my mom and dad and she loved it. She did great on the ride there, but on the way back for about 3 hours was a bit antsy, but all in all she did great. Poor Poor Uncle Sagagi, dislocated his knee on stage at Germane's Luau in a coconut bra and grass skirt, and while being wheeled off stage, rubbed his cocunuts...I think he won...lol...I will post LOTS more pictures once I have more time as we have a bunch of Jeramy's family here now too!

Sturgis and Cupcakes

Aunt Cindy sent Sage her first Sturgis T-shirt and a cool shirt for Jeramy and a necklace for me, home with Jeramy's mom who was in South Dakota visiting and helping Cindy with her radiation therapy. We decided to wear them all to cousin Hailey's 9th birthday party, where Sage loved the special cupcake that cousin Hailey made especially for Sage.

I have also been able finally to put all of her hair in a pony tail. Can you believe that my baby is 18 months old today? We bought her her first potty chair, one that she can sit on, goes onto the toilet, and then is a stepping stool, but I willnot be posting these pictures on the internet, a la Jon and Kate. I resisted the slot machine and noisemaker potty's thinking it might scare the crap out of her (which I know is the point) but it had too many distractions. For now we are just letting her sit with us when we go to the bathroom with her diaper on, and everytime she sits with us. I think after my surgery when I can be consitent with her, I will let her try it at her own pace. I have armed myself with stickers, but I am conflicted about the whole "reward" thing when she finally does start going, because I don't want that to be the reason for her going...but we will see, it will be a learning process for all of us.

Also, I bought the Jessica Seinfeld book on how to deceptively fool your kid into eating healthy food, and today I modified one of her recipies and Sage ate all of it. I used chocolate chip pancakes something I knew she would eat, added purreed butternut squash and apples and a bunch of cinnamon. I added some jam and she ate the whole thing! So now I keep looking for ways to add vegi's and fruit secretly to food I know she will eat. Not quite ready for the intense recipies in the book, but it has given me some ideas. Thanks Becky...oh by the way I found this book at an outlet store for $7 so that was a bonus too!

So Sage is officially now a toddler. She got her first black eye today playing around. I think it is worse for Jeramy and I to look at than it hurts her, she just bumped it just right. She is into EVERYTHING. You can't turn your back on this kid for a minute. Plus I have been laid out for the last couple of weeks with serious tooth pain and now I think a dry socket. It feels like I have a golf ball in my throat. So dad let's her get away with more I am not going to like ths bumpy road ahead....

Sage Wants a Pony

So after suffering through 4 days of getting ready for and having the garage sale we decided it was time for some family time, so we took Sage to the fun fair. I always said I would never be the type of parent who puts a leash on her kid, but now I see that it is neccissary, because it helped also to keep her from falling. I was totally expecting her to freak out on the pony ride but she LOVED it. I, being the overly prepared mother that I am even brought pants to put on her because NO way was she sitting on that thing in a dress, I even had a first aid kit in my purse just in case..lol... She sits on our big lab Toby and says "Go Go Go" and she was saying that on the horse, she even cried when we took her off. Jeramy being the good daddy that he is walked with her (because she was too small to fit in the belt, I was glad they didn't have a height limit because poor little girl might never make that). They even had to stop and wait for the poop from the horse in front of her to be picked up, but she didn't mind, she had an awesome time! So now Grandma and Grandpa will have to buy her a pony, and we will keep it at Aunti A's and Uncle Dale's house. :o)
And the best news of all is that for the last 3 days she went and took her nap in her crib in her room with no fuss. Then last night I put the video monitor in her room so I could see her the whole time, put her fish tank frame on, her ocean music, and eventually a DVD with her seahorse nightlight and all of her loveys and put her to bed, and though she cried for a bit she fell asleep. She made it until about 1am and then I brought her in with us. But slowly but surely I will get my bed back.

Twinkie!

We gave Sage her first Twinkie today and boy what a mess she made. She loved it! And then went directly into the bath, where her last sliver finally came out! Way to go Daddy!

Sage's 1st Birthday Party Teaser Photos

This Saturday we had Sage's first birthday party at Uncle Sagagie and Emo Hettie's house. We probably had around 40 people there for the korean feast. First we dressed her up in my old Korean Dress, and me and my mom and Hettie also wore traditional dresses for pictures. Our friend and photographer Steve Schmidt of Oly Photos http://www.olyphotos.com/, who did our engagement, wedding, newborn pictures, 6 month pictures, and now her year old pictures came, I know I know, what other baby has her own professional photographer, but we love Steve and wouldn't ever trust anyone else. So she had several wardrobe changes. About 40 friends and family came to share in the miracle of our little girl. However, come cake time she wasn't having it. She cried an cried and then when mommy and daddy held her, mommy decided to get even with daddy for our wedding cake and smashed cake in his face, but he got me when I wasn't looking. She is such a very loved little baby surrounded by people who love her. I will post more pictures when we get Steve's back but thought I'd give you some teasers. We were able to get 4 generation pictures with Jr's family and you can see the one in her korean dress which was my old dress when I was her age. And what party wouldn't be complete without some billy bob pacifiers with teeth. lol.
More to picture to come. Thank you to everyone who came for your generous gifts for Sage.

Brian and Malea Sara and Chris

Jessica, Kerry, Mia and Sage, Malea, Sara and Madyson
Here are some more pictures from our recent camping trip. I also included a picture of our girls night dinner on Thursday. These are my best friends and we all went to highschool together. We get together for girls night which has now turned into girls/boys/kids night and we alternate houses, usually a couple times a month. We use to do it once a week. It is great to have such a solid group of friends. Kerry and I have been friends since 4th grade (so almost 20 years...wow) Malea and I traveled to the Bahamas and Spain together. I am so lucky to have such great friends!! We have a blast together!

Sage's First Camping Trip

We took Sage on her first camping trip over the weekend to our favorite place, The Kalama River. We went with some of my best friends since high school, Malea and her husband Brian, Sara and her husband Chris and daughter Madyson. It was Madyson's first camping trip too and she had so much fun. Chris is just back from Iraq, so Jeramy took the boys fishing while we stayed back and relaxed and shopped. This camp ground is perfect for Sara and I because there is a store, resturant, and running bathrooms, plus is close to shopping! Sage was so good, she didn't cry one time while we were out there and slept inbetween us on our air mattress. We stayed inside the mosqito net thing at night. It was perfect weather (although it did rain for a little bit) because it wasn't too hot or too cold. We had such a good time with our friends, we can't wait to do it again! (The last picture is of Sage sucking her thumb through her hood, she kept pulling her hood over her face all weekend, and we made Madyson a harness with Sage's life jacket) Good Times...can't wait for our 10 year reunion family day on Saturday next weekend.
