Newest Addition to the Family

The day after my surgery was Jeramy and my 4th wedding anniversary. We had been planning on getting Sage a rabbit for a while now because she loves them so much (that and cat's but we weren't about to get a cat, not yet anywyas). After the trip to the Puyallup Fair where all she wanted to see were the bunny's, we were certain it was time. So we called our favorite cider mill, Lattin's and they had some Holland Lops that would be ready on October 1st, our anniversary. So after kicking around some names with Sage, and with Jeramy trying to get her to call it Dinner or Stew, we decided on Annnna because it was our 4th anniversary when we got her, and Sage kept calling her Annna. I guess it is good we didn't get the bunny on our 20th wedding anniversary then it would really have alot of N's in it's name. Annna is a sweet bunny. My dad bought it a really neat log cabin cage that we put outside the garge door so we always see it. Sage wakes up every morning and wants to see her "baby Annna" so we have snuggle time everyday, even I like to lay around cuddling with her too. Sage will pet her and say "I love you Sweetheart" it is really cute. We figured with Jeramy being gone for hunting, mommy on bedrest for surgery and the trauma of preschool, a bunny was a nice gift. Speaking of preschool, we gave it a little over a month and she pretty much cried the whole time, so we are not going to push her yet..her last day was the day Jeramy dropped her off and Sage was screaming and crying "Daddy please don't leave me, I love you Daddy, I want to go home with you Daddy...Daddy Daddy please...she did the same thing when my Dad dropped her off too, "Papa please don't go". and that about did it for preschool. If she would have been happy and could power through it we would have stuck with it longer, but her crying for over a month, we didn't want to push her, sometimes it just isn't the right time or the right fit, plus it was uber expensive. It was nice to be able to schedule Dr. appointments and get some me time while she was there, but we have plenty of family here that can help out. Our main concern was getting her to play with other kids, and not be so dependant on us. Guess we will have to try something else.
Surgery went well, they were able to do it laposcopically which will be a quicker recovery for me. My awesome family have been helping out tremendously and I don't know what I would do without them. I guess like my other organs, the right ovary was fused onto my bone again, so they really had to retch around in there so I am all bruised...Sage always says, Mommy has an owie and kisses it. They give you 2-4 weeks recovery, but I was up after about 3 days, I still won't be lifting Sage for some time, and have some bad days, but all in all, glad it is over. Now on to the next thing, which hopefully will turnout to be nothing at all/.

I don't know if you go to any playgroups or anything but that might be a good way to get her introduced to playing with other kids and having you near by but reliant on you. That's what I do with my clingy daughter. There's a playgroup here in Scott Lake that we attend and she sometimes plays and sometimes wants to be by me the whole time. My only "rule" about the playgroup is that I won't hold her there, she can stand or sit by me but I'm not coddling her clingy-ness by doing what she wants and I keep encouraging her to go play. There are many groups out there that meet weekly, maybe ask some of your friends if they know of any that they love...

It's also a good way to have some adult conversation during the week ;)
