Eddy Family Reunion

So since our family is SO huge, we tried to organize a family reunion at our family's winery. We had so much fun and got to see alot of people we don't see very often, however, we didn't even make a dent in how many family members were there. Last time we had a reunion like this, I was about 8. I remember we had a squirt gun war and then a bunch of people went skinny dipping in the pond, to which us younger kids threw their clothes in the tree, which we rubbed in every chance we got. The difference this year was that we were the parents. It is so cool that in our generation, we are so close in age, anywhere from 3 to 4 years older or younger and have always remained very close. Now our kids are the same age difference, if not closer. For example, Sage is 9 months younger than Avery and then 9 or so monts older than Eli. At this reunion, we had about 20 kids under the age of 8, ranging from 14 months to 8 years old, and then Uncle Charlie who is 10. They are so close in age, that they will grow up just like we did, which I think is so great! I told my cousin Andy (whose clothes ended up in the tree) that the view is a little different when you are the parent, and he totally agreed. The people who were parents at the last reunion are the grandparents now and loving it, letting their grandkids have whatever they want!

It is so important to me that our family stay close throughout the years and that our kids maintain a relationship like we did growing up. Aunt Marlene is the last remaining sibling, making this reunion all of the more special. I just wish more people could come. We won't wait this long to have the next reunion next time. I hadn't seen most of my cousins who came from South Carolina in a really long time, so it was great to spend time and bond with them. All in all the kids, parents and grandparents had a great time. I took most of the pictures so aren't in alot of them, and I didn't post all of them on here because there are over 180 of them, so if anyone at the reunion wants a disk let us know. Katy and Becky have copies of the disk to copy for their family and I have one for my family and one I am going to send to Bob and Karen. If anyone has any other pictures please email them to me at miajernigan@hotmail.com
Until next time, love you all!
